Served up right, Gilbert & Sullivan is a delight.
The Seneca Chamber Orchestra did so Thursday evening at Christ
Church United Methodist, staging a lively, often hilarious production
of "The Mikado."
Seneca's production of this Japanese-costumed spoof 19th century
British class structure benefits from solid casting and first-rate
singing.
Chris Sizemore, a robust-voiced tenor, shines as Nanki-Poo, the
earnest young man who searches for a way to marry his beloved.
Dramatically, he is just a foil for the antics of Jonathan
