Several futuristic 'concept' cars are scheduled to be on display
at next week's West Virginia International Auto Show, which runs Jan.
17 to Jan. 19 at the Charleston Civic Center.
In one sense, concept cars represent the auto industry's 'blue
sky' dreams, the product of a designer's vision. But they are created
to meet the transportation needs of the future, incorporating cutting
edge technology, innovative styling and ,increasingly in recent
years, alternative power sources.
Most of these vehicles will never hit the market in any major way.
But they do serve an important purpose. Concept cars serve as a
