The drums have started beating for the anticipated boys basketball rematch between Riverside and Spring Valley.

The showdown will take place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 22 during the Mountain State Athletic Conference Night of Champions at the Civic Center.

The state-ranked Warriors and Timberwolves both wrapped up their MSAC title-ame spots by winning on Wednesday. Riverside captured the East Division with a 65-49 victory over Ripley, while Spring Valley won the West by besting Hurricane 78-41.

Riverside (12-5), which has won seven straight, is ranked 10th among Class AAA schools, while Spring Valley (17-1), winner of eight in a row, has held down the top spot much of the ...
