Anyone out there familiar with the title, "Blood, Sweat & Stanley
Poole"? You're not? How disturbing! That is the title of a play once
performed locally by SALTI, perhaps better known as the St. Albans
Little Theatre, Inc. It was performed in there in the mid-70s. I was
going through an old file a few weeks back and pulled out one of the
programs.
It is a military spoof with the setting being a supply room
headquarters of a Midwest Army post. Yours truly played the lead in
the only performance I ever had with SALTI. Perhaps that was for the
better. You will notice my words are I "played the lead," not that I
"starred" in the performance. The fact that I played the lead is not
disputable. ...
