Article: Man who accused wife of affair with Wise may run for governor

A Kanawha County man who publicly accused his ex-wife of having an affair with Gov. Bob Wise is considering running for governor in 2004.

Phillip Frye doesn't expect to win the election. "All I want to do is be a nuisance to Bob," he told the Charleston Daily Mail in Friday's editions.

The interview was Frye's first public comment since the newspaper reported the alleged affair May 12. That same day, Wise issued a statement admitting that he had been unfaithful to his family.

Wise, a first-term Democrat, later acknowledged that he had a "brief" affair outside of his marriage. But he has refused to comment
