Democratic gubernatorial candidate Lloyd Jackson, who fought for
school consolidation in his native Lincoln County, has moved to
Kanawha County so his son can attend a high school that offers more
classes. Jackson, a former state senator and former member of the
state Board of Education, said his familys move to Charleston was
planned before he decided to run for governor. One son, a senior, is
now attending George Washington High School. Another son attends a
boarding school. Jackson said his son is taking four classes at
George Washington that are not offered by Lincoln County schools. No
