Shepherd's Center of Charleston is having a Christmas and Hanukkah sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Kanawha Mall, next to Power Play near Gabriel Brothers.

Kanawha County Animal Shelter will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Bring pets to have pictures taken with Santa. The shelter is offering $5 off all adoption fees.

Appalachian Center for Independent Living will host its third annual Community Christmas Party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Elk Elementary Center, U.S. 119.
