Former Wayne pitcher Patrick Adkins tossed two innings to close
out Potomac State's 10-5 victory over Surry Community College (N.C.)
in the Eastern District finals this past weekend in Dobson, N.C., and
help the Catamounts advance to the National Junior College Athletic
Association Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
In their first trip to the JUCO World Series, the Catamounts will
face Middle Georgia at 3 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the 10-
team tournament.
Morgantown's Kevin Korzun earned the win for Potomac State in the
district finals, tossing seven innings and allowing six hits.
