Article: Bridgeport's Carey not concerned with return to Class AAA

BRIDGEPORT - Coach Bruce Carey has taken Bridgeport's football team into the playoffs in each of his seven seasons.

His chances are a little tougher this time.

The traditional Class AA powerhouse now is one of Class AAA's smallest schools.

Bridgeport returns to Class AAA after a six-year hiatus. The Indians are among eight West Virginia high schools playing in different classes this school year.

"We're still Bridgeport. We'd be Single-A and these teams would be highlighting our game on their schedule," Carey said recently as he watched his linemen engage in blocking drills. "I don't think it's going to be that much of a difference. Our kids don't care."
