Kristine P. Scott has baggage. And she loves it. The 51-year-old
Federal Aviation Administration office manager has been a T.J. Maxx
enthusiast since the '80s. She calls the place "discount handbag
heaven" and has befriended workers there who hold merchandise for
her.
Her husband doesn't get it.
"He thinks I'm a sick woman," she says. "But what does he know?"
Friends and other family members, however, do get it, as she likes
to share. Her presents of choice these days are designer handbags and
wallets, mostly purchased from her favorite store, T.J. Maxx 'n More
at 344 W. Army Trail Rd. in Bloomingdale, near her Glen Ellyn home.
