Article: Two firms to produce Charleston Magazine

Charleston Magazine will become more focused and edgier for its spring 2005 issue, the magazine's new producers say.

Members of Yeager Airport's Convention and Visitors' Bureau chose two Charleston firms Thursday to work on the magazine. The quarterly magazine will be published by the Manahan Group and printed by Color Craft Printing.

Two out-of-state firms currently publish and print the magazine.

"We want the magazine to generate a buzz," said pk Khoury, Manahan's copywriter.

Board members heard from the Manahan Group and another firm, Plante & Associates, as to why each firm should receive the one-year publishing contract.
