Capital coach Crystal Hackney has not been too concerned about her team's state tournament opponent this week because she has been busy trying to work out the Cougars' kinks.

The Cougars, who captured the Class AAA Region 3 Section 2 championship, hit a snag in the region finals this past weekend. George Washington defeated Capital in three straight sets and sent the Cougars into the state tournament on a down note.

Capital, fifth in the latest WVRSN.com state rankings, will open the state tournament at 6 p.m. today with a Class AAA quarterfinal match against No. 8 Preston at Robert C. Byrd High School in
