About 10 restaurants and stores on the tenant list at the new
Bayshore Town Center - including Trader Joe's - won't be part of the
grand opening of the newly expanded Glendale shopping center on
Thursday.
Some of the stores had planned for later openings, while others
have experienced construction delays, Bayshore spokesman Phill
Trewyn said.
Trader Joe's, the Monrovia, Calif.-based grocery chain, is
regarded as the star of the show at the Bayshore expansion and is
expected to draw shoppers from a wide area. The store is now
scheduled to open Nov. 10, Trewyn said.
Trader Joe's shies away from publicity and has never issued a
