West Virginia State isn't the only collegiate baseball team headed
to a World Series this weekend.
The Catamounts of Potomac State College locked up their second
straight appearance in the National Junior College Athletic
Association Division I World Series with a pair of wins Sunday
against nationally ranked Louisburg (N.C.).
Potomac State needed both victories, having dropped its first
meeting with the Hurricanes 3-2 in the Eastern District Super
Regional on Saturday.
The juco series begins Friday in Grand Junction, Colo. The
Catamounts will take on St. Petersburg College of Florida in the
opening round of the double-elimination tournament at 7:30 p.m.
