CHESAPEAKE, Ohio - It doesn't happen very often.

That's what made it that much sweeter for the West Virginia boys Friday night as they defeated the Ohio All-Stars 101-97 in overtime in the West Virginia-Ohio All-star Basketball Game.

The victory was only the second for West Virginia in the series, which Ohio leads 13-2. It was the first since a 120-118 decision in the 1998 game played at the University of Charleston.

"That was our motivation," said West Virginia coach Pat McGinnis of Winfield. "We knew we hadn't won it much, and I'm not sure we've ever won on their floor. It was a nice win for us."

Ohio won the girls game 86-76. The teams will square off again tonight ...
