Representatives from nine French wood companies and organizations arrived in Charleston Thursday evening for a six-day tour of West Virginia's wood products industry.

The 15 trip participants, including a sales representative from a Japanese homebuilding company with a sales office in Charleston, will meet with people involved with West Virginia's economic development, government and the wood products industry.

Today, they're headed to the Earl Ray Tomblin Conference Center in Logan to learn about West Virginia, the state's wood industry and some area wood companies. Group members will also tour the Wood Products Industrial Park and Columbia Flooring in Mingo County.
