SpecialtyChem Products Corp., Marinette, has been renamed
ChemDesign Products Inc. after almost all of its assets were
purchased by Resilience Capital Partners, it was announced Friday.
Resilience is a private equity firm based in Cleveland. In June,
it agreed to pay about $7 million for the assets as part of a
Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization of Specialty.
Friday, Resilience announced the deal had been closed.
ChemDesign makes specialty chemicals for industrial use, one of
the largest independent such concerns in North America. Sales are
about $20 million annually, according to President Dave Mielke. The
company was begun in 1983.
