Christian Brand will be playing in his last junior golf tournament
this week.
Brand, however, hasn't let the nostalgia cloud his approach as he
prepares today to defend his West Virginia Junior Amateur
championship at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane.
"I'm just looking to win as usual," said Brand, a Capital graduate
who will play on scholarship at Marshall this fall. "I always take
every tournament pretty serious.
"I don't send in my application unless I commit myself to winning.
This will be the last time to play with some of these guys. What
better way to go out than beat them."
The 36-hole Junior Amateur wraps up Thursday at Sleepy Hollow with
champions ...
