Article: Charleston football camp to feature pro football players

Young football players in the Kanawha Valley are being offered the chance to learn from pros at an upcoming football camp.

Next Step Sports is hosting its first football camp in Charleston July 7 and 8 at University of Charleston Stadium. The camp is open to children in grades 2 through 8, said Marc McClain, the camp's organizer.

McClain, who moved to Charleston from Las Vegas, a year ago, is a coach for Nitro High School's football team. Although there are a number of other football camps in the area, McClain said he ran camps when he lived in Las Vegas and wanted to continue that work here.
