KENOVA - Don Money knows all about facing adversity.

The veteran Spring Valley coach has seen his fair share in trying to rebuild his team from a disastrous 0-10 season a year ago. Friday night, his team triumphed over adversity in earning a narrow 10-6 win over visiting Riverside.

"We know we're not one of the super teams in the state," Money said. "But I was extremely happy with our kids' effort coming off the loss last week [to Nitro]. They're playing hard, and that's really all we're asking for."
