MORGANTOWN - Remember those rumors flying on Thursday that Gator
Bowl officials had already been told Rich Rodriguez would not coach
West Virginia's football team in the Jan. 1 game in Jacksonville?
Well, scratch those and any others that were floating around
concerning Rodriguez's future. Apparently he's going to be West
Virginia's head football coach for quite some time.
Rodriguez not only announced his decision Friday afternoon to
remain at West Virginia - thus passing on a lucrative offer to coach
at the University of Alabama - he agreed to a new, extended contract
to coach the Mountaineers, a pact that not only will make him richer
but make it even more difficult for ...
