Scott Pierson wants to try his hand at running a golf course.
The Cabell County utility contractor and golf fan may get his
chance if Kanawha County officials approve his bid for the Sandy Brae
golf course. Pierson was the winning bidder Thursday when county
officials held a second auction on the 250-acre golf course near
Clendenin.
Pierson bid $650,000 for the golf course, $50,000 less than
winning bidder Oshel Craigo offered for the property when it was
first auctioned on Feb. 17.
