The Charleston Ballet winds up its "Triple Play" performance
season of 2006 and 2007 by staging "Play Ball!" at 8 p.m. on Friday,
March 23 and Saturday, March 24 at the Charleston Civic Center Little
Theater.
A baseball-themed ballet choreographed by former New York City
Ballet principal dancer Christopher Fleming, "Play Ball!" is set
shortly after the end of World War II.
During the ballet, a women's team of dancers squares off against a
squad of men. The competitors become baseball players on stage,
executing pirouettes on the diamond.
Joining the Charleston Ballet members for both performances of
