Unbeaten George Washington is one of four teams tied for the top
spot in Class AAA in the first set of state high school football
playoff ratings.
The Patriots (3-0) are tied with Brooke, University and defending
champion Parkersburg. St. Albans is tied for sixth, while Riverside
is ranked eighth, Hurricane ninth and Capital tied for 13th. The top
16 teams in each class make the playoffs.
In Class AA, Sissonville (3-0) is third, with Logan seventh, Scott
tied for ninth and Ravenswood tied for 14th. The area's top school in
Class A is Buffalo (2-1), which is tied for 19th. See Page 2B for
