Megan Williams and her mother will lead the march in Charleston on
Saturday to demand hate crime charges against the six people accused
of beating, raping and torturing the 20-year-old woman.
"Me and my child are in support of the march," Carmen Williams,
Megan's mother, said Monday afternoon. "The march will go on. We will
be there."
She said her husband, Matthew Williams, would probably be there as
well. "As long as it is not violent he is in support of it," she
said.
Carmen said she speaks for the family, not anyone from any of the
organizations for or against the march.
A national group, Black Lawyers for Justice, is organizing the
