R.L. Hudson & Co. has announced plans to buy Grand River Rubber & Plastics.

Grand River, based in Ashtabula, Ohio, makes lathe-cut seals, extruded rubber products and drive belts. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

For Broken Arrow-based R.L. Hudson, the acquisition adds U.S.- based manufacturing capabilities, new products and access to new markets.

No employment changes are expected in Ashtabula or Broken Arrow. Grand River's current management will remain in place. Grand River has 215 employees represented by the United Steelworkers union. ...
