Article: AUTO PARTS SUPPLIER OPENING AREA PLANT

An automotive supplier, Curtis-Maruyasu America Inc. is gearing to open a plant in early October in Santa Claus Industrial Park to manufacture brake and fuel assemblies for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana.

The company is leasing a 42,000-square-foot building, along Indiana 162, from Progressive Investment/Seufert Co. in Ferdinand, Ind.

It also will hire up to 50 employees, according to Tom Utter, executive director of Lincolnland Economic Development Corp., which has been involved in bringing the new industry to the community.

Utter said production, tool room and maintenance positions are available as well as positions in quality control, materials handling and shipping.
