The Dish Network customer can pick them up with an antenna at his rural Henderson County, Ky., home, but the reception isn't good.

He has been told that Dish Network would be adding local channels ever since he bought his satellite dish three years ago.

Fala Hancock of Lynnville, Ind., is equally anxious.

"I'm going through `E.R.' withdrawal," she said. "I haven't seen an episode in six months," since she got her dish. She was not aware at the time that local channels weren't carried on the service.
