Deaconess Hospital and The Heart Group will reopen the outpatient catheterization lab at Deaconess Heart Center to meet a growing demand for cardiovascular services for the Tri-State's aging population.

Deaconess and The Heart Group are also planning a second joint cath lab at the new Deaconess Gateway Hospital, a building scheduled to open in Warrick County in December 2005.

The cath lab at Deaconess Heart Center is in the same building that houses The Heart Group's corporate offices at 415 W. Columbia St. The facility currently is being renovated and should be operational by the end of the year.
