Gene Baldwin, 50, a Republican from Tell City, Ind., is
challenging Democrats Jody Fortwendel and Don Sherry and Republican
Dale Sprinkle in the race for Perry County Commissioner.
He was motivated to do so last year.
"I woke up one day last year and realized I was 50. Now there's
more sand in the bottom of the hour glass than at the top," Baldwin
said. "I realized I wanted to work to make Perry County a better
place to live, and I believe I have a duty to serve this county to
the fullest extent I can."
Baldwin, who ran in the May primary election on the ballot for
County Council at-large, said he decided to run in the commissioner's
race to fulfill a sense of duty to Perry County.
