Meadow Lanes has been a fixture in the North Park area for 40
years, but the bowling establishment soon will be transformed into a
large banquet facility.
Mike Seiler, the owner for the past 26 years, said his bowling
business has dwindled in recent years due to a growing number of
other recreational opportunities offered in the Tri-State.
League bowling formerly was Meadow Lane's biggest money-maker, but
it recently declined to about one-third of what it once was, he said.
Meadow Lanes also lost bowling patrons to new lifestyles, which
new job schedules for some patrons, Seiler said.
