Article: MAYSE FARM MARKET REBUILDING MARKET TO BE BACK IN BUSINESS BY STRAWBERRY SEASON [Corrected 03/24/06]

For years, strawberry devotees have relied on Mayse Farm Market in northern Vanderburgh County for berries and other fresh produce.

A fire destroyed the market building on North St. Joseph Avenue on Dec. 17. But the operation is expected to be back in business in time for the strawberry season this mid-May to early June.

Ground is due to be broken soon for construction of a new pole barn to house the marketplace.

Justin Schoffstall of Andy Easley Engineering, Inc., has spearheaded site preparations for the construction on the same site where the old market building stood.
