Article: THE FULL SCOOP EVANSVILLE HAS ENOUGH ICE CREAM SHOPS TO KEEP EVERYONE IN GOOD HUMOR

Ice cream. Custard. Frozen yogurt. Gelato. Soft-serve. Sorbet -- or sorbetto. It doesn't matter what you call it, the cold weather is history and the frozen treats of spring and summer are entering their finest days.

"It's easily a 2:1 business," said Don Smith, owner of Lic's Deli & Ice Cream. "We do twice as much business in the summertime.

"For some people -- and that number is growing -- ice cream is a year-round option, but the majority start thinking of it seriously once the word `spring' is used."

"It doesn't have to be warm outside. Just the knowledge that it's spring is all some people need," said Smith's daughter, Jamie Brown.
