Article: KENTUCKY HORSE PARK GETS DEAL FOR LUXURY HOTEL

FRANKFORT, Ky. - A private developer has received a lease from the state to build a 267-room luxury hotel at Kentucky Horse Park.

Gov. Ernie Fletcher announced Wednesday that the deal had been made with Lexington-based Bluegrass Equine & Tourism Foundation Inc. The foundation, which will lease land for the hotel, also would distribute all profits from the endeavor to the horse and tourism industries in the state.

It would be the first time a private developer has built a luxury hotel on public land in Kentucky.
