Bristol law firm Bond Pearce completed a record number of
corporate finance deals in 2004.
The firm completed 100 deals, worth GBP2.3 billion - and corporate
finance partner Simon Hewes says the firm is winning contrats that in
the past would have gone to firms in London.
During 2004 the firm worked on transactions ranging in value from
GBP32,500 to more than GBP1 billion. The year's results compare with
84 deals worth GBP672 million in 2003.
Mr Hewes said: "The quality and appetite of our corporate finance
team is winning us more high-value deals which would traditionally
have been handled by London firms, including several valued at well
