stars is the port city of Seattle in Washington state. JOHN KEAST
goes for a look.
A great steel blackbird is caught in a towering glass prison in
Seattle, the home of American aviation.
The Blackbird is a thing of danger -- a swooping and sleek
investment in stealth -- and it will never fly again. A spy plane
and the centrepiece of Seattle's Museum of Flight, it is a
bewitching and comprehensive attraction in a city that, to date, has
been largely off the radar for Kiwis. It need not be.
