AT THE age of 20, Louise Durnan had the world at her feet. The
vivacious blonde enjoyed a non-stop whirl of socialising, studying
and sport.
But suddenly everything changed - and the girl who was once the
life and soul of the party was struck by a devastating illness which
made it impossible for her to walk or eat or even smile.
Louise, 23, from Kirkintil- loch, suffers from myasthenia gravis
(MG), which affects only 7000 people in the UK.
It is an auto-immune disease where antibodies attack nerves,
causing muscles to weaken. The disease can kill and there is no cure.
