East Kilbride is a town with its own special character, with the
distinction of being Scotland's first new town, back in 1947.
It is the sixth largest town in Scotland with a population of over
70,000, and is nicknamed Polo Mint City because of its 60
roundabouts, many of which have a very particular style.
Yet despite being known as a new town, East Kilbride has old
roots, with the town's oldest pub, the Montgomerie Arms, dating back
to 1719.
Little wonder then, that the East Kilbride Shopping Centre has
