A car sales manager whose job was axed after his showroom lost a
franchise has been awarded almost (pounds) 12,000 compensation.
Brian Hepburn, 42, of Glen Dessary, East Kilbride, took the Ingram
Motoring Group Ltd to an employment tribunal complaining he had been
unfairly selected for redundancy from his job in Paisley.
The Glasgow tribunal heard the Ayr-based firm struck a deal with
another manufacturer after losing an Audi dealership.
Mr Hepburn, described as the company's best performing salesman,
he had been assured that he had a long term future with the firm.
