CHRISSIE and Jenny are both singers - but their lives couldn't be
further apart. One woman has sung to audiences in London's West End
theatres and all over the world. The other's only stage is the
streets of Glasgow.
But glamorous Cats star Chrissie Hammond was so moved when she
heard blind busker Jenny Teece's amazing voice, that she believes it
deserves a wider audience and has pledged to try to help her make the
big time.
SHEILA HAMILTON finds out how it all came about.
IT WAS the voice that singer Chrissie Hammond heard first, soaring
with perfect pitch over the din of traffic and shoppers' chatter.
"This angelic voice stopped me dead in the street," she says.
