A funny thing happened to Jonathan Frakes during auditions for Thunderbirds.

The former Star Trek Next Generation actor turned director found actors of a certain age all eager to confess to an embarrassing infatuation. As young boys, they all had mad crushes on a certain member of the aristocracy.

To be fair, Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward is the ultimate in posh tottie, even though she was only 18ins high and made of wood. Now she is flesh and blood and playing off her sexy image in the big screen version of Thunderbirds.
