GLASGOW MPs claimed more than (pounds) 1.2million in expenses and
allowances last year.
And Govan MP Mohammad Sarwar was the highest in Scotland at
(pounds) 157, 262.
In all, nine of the city's 10 Westminster politicians billed the
taxpayer for six-figure sums.
Only Springburn MP Michael Martin, who is the House of Commons
Speaker, was under six figures at (pounds) 98,025.
Details of claims had been kept secret, but MPs wanted them out
before they were forced to reveal them under the Freedom of
Information Act.
