Article: New design center is 'like a toy store for home buyers'

Concord Homes, a large home-building company in the Chicago area, recently unveiled its expanded design center in northwest suburban Wheeling. It's almost three times the size of its predecessor.

"When we opened our first design center in 1996, Concord could easily assist the 500 home buyers a year we worked with. But, because our company has grown, so must our design center," said Roger Mankedick, executive vice president of the company. In recent years, the builder has sold well over 1,000 homes. "Many of the improvements are derived from listening to our buyers," he said.
