HOT Hot Heat say they were shocked to be remembered after a three- year break between their debut album and Elevator which is released this month.

Drummer Paul Hawley said: "We figured we'd been away so long people would forget. But we did this three-month tour of America and it turned out we had a fan or two."

So why did the Canadian band wait so long after Make Up The Breakdown made their name to get a new record out?

Hawley says: "It wasn't easy.

"We weren't good at writing on the road, and never wanted to be away from family ...
