'Cut! ... Cut! ... Cut!" That famed scene-ending cry, barked out
by directors on film sets dating to the dawn of movies, echoed across
Chicago Studio City late Wednesday afternoon.
Of course, the miracle of filmmaking has transformed the Far West
Side production facility into the world of Chicago's South Side--
into "Barbershop," the community focal point of life at 78th and
Exchange.
The transformation is so complete it even fools basketball legend
and broadcaster Norm Van Lier, who plays a small role in the film,
currently lensing here.
