ALAN HUTTON has underlined his determination to step out of the Ibrox shadows and reclaim the Rangers right-back slot as his own.

The 20-year-old suffered a horror leg break against Kilmarnock on February 26 and now, nearly eight months later, is at last ready to return to action.

And Hutton has revealed that missing out on the SPL titleholder's Champions League games has fuelled his desire to force his way back into Alex McLeish's first team plans.
