IT'S THE cosmopolitan hub of Scotland's biggest city - yet central
Glasgow has become a virtual no-go area for many people. Crime
figures released by police reveal the area is the most dangerous
place in the country.
Parts of the city centre emerged as the worst for violence and sex
offences, while there were 420 incidents of murder, attempted murder
or serious assault in just one year.
The city's Anderston North police beat was branded a sex crime
blackspot, with 582 in one year, around 5-per cent of which were
attacks.
The statistics were reported in yesterday's Evening Times, but we
found many people were resigned to the levels of violence.
Street crime is a problem not lost on the police ...
