Article: Death crash lorry driver 'has a sleep disorder'

A LORRY driver, accused of causing the deaths of three people in a horror pile-up, has a sleeping disorder, a court was told.

The High Court in Glasgow heard Colin Kane, 36, was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea five months after the crash on the A82 at Alexandria, Dunbartonshire.

Sleep disorder expert Dr Peter Fenwick, 72, from London, said he believed 27st Kane had suffered from the condition for five years prior to the accident.
