It's 9.15 at night, freezing cold and the rain's coming down in
sheets. The All Blacks have just beaten the Wallabies by 10 points -
yeah, night rugby rocks and life is sweet.
Now push button number two. It's 9.15 at night, still freezing and
still coming down in buckets. The All Blacks have just lost to the
Springboks in a cliffhanger - night rugby sucks and life along with
it.
You see, this new nocturnal phenomenon is all a state of mind,
with its ability to turn us into either satisfied supporters or mid-
winter malcontents directly related to the temperature, the dew-
precipitation factor and, of course, the result.
