Summer and salads go together like fish and chips, which makes now
the perfect time to expand your salad repertoire. Naomi Mitchell
learns the insider's tips to creating three unforgettable salads.
Long, hot, sunny days and plentiful produce make summer a perfect
time to whip up salad for lunch or dinner.
But instead of just tossing together some lettuce, cucumber,
tomato and a splatter of mayo - why not try new flavour
combinations?
"People should experiment and try some different tastes,''
says Chere Harris, owner of Zest Cafe and Delicatessen.
Harris says the cafe normally makes five different salads a day,
most of which are wheat-free and gluten-free.
